I've been on a real nail polish kick recently and despite this I've never really ventured further than stickers when it came to nail art.
I was fortunate enough to be sent some nail art supplies and today I wanted to share with you the nail stamping set. For $12.63 you will receive the following:
A Scraper and Rubber Stamper
12 Metal Plates - These all come individually wrapped with a protective film over them
Here are the plates I received:
M04 - How cute is that little seahorse?
M05
M07 - I love the little hearts, so adorable :)
M08 - Eeeeee mini bows :)
M11 - Sorry it's a bit blurry :(
M26 - How cute is the little fairy in the middle?
M28
M41 - Another blurry one, these are hard to photograph :(
M53 - Love the little koala
M54 - I love the larger patterns on this plate
M64 - So many pretty flowers, perfect for spring :)
M73 - Eeeee look at the little frog dude :)
All of the bits of the set are really well made and great quality for the price. Considering Konad sets are so expensive these would be a fantastic set to purchase if you were looking to start nail stamping :)
Of course no review would be complete without actually trying the products so here's what I came up with:
I used a base of China Glaze Light As Air and then stamped the butterfly from plate M41 with China Glaze VIII.
For a first go I don't think I did too bad, even if I say so myself. It took a couple of practice goes to test out how much polish to put on the plate, how far to scrape it and work out how much pressure to use on the nail stamper. I haven't quite mastered how to line it up straight and how you get your image where you want it on the nail but I'm guessing that comes with practice and patience lol!
Have any of you guys tried nail art or nail stamping? Leave a comment to let me know your experiences :)
~xoxo~
These products were sent to me for free for the purpose of this review. I'm not being compensated for this post and all opinions are 100% my own and honest

ReplyDeleteThese are adorable. I bought a similar kit (but it was much smaller and super inexpensive) and I've used it all of 1 time... I have no patience! lol
ReplyDeleteOooh thanks! I've been eyeing Konad sets for a while, but this is much cheaper. I'll check it out :)
ReplyDeleteWow this looks so pretty, I think I'll have to start playing around with nail art now! :)

Wow you did it so well! Especially seeing as it's your first go! My first try was disastrous, I still can't do it well at all!
ReplyDeleteThese are so cute! I really want to give stamping a go but have a feeling I'll get frustrated with it and never use it again lol. I had a go with free hand nail art for the first time the other day and loved it x
ReplyDeleteyou did great! I am a klutz when it comes to konads. I stick with just the traditional nail painting.
ReplyDeleteNice! Your first time went a lot better than mine... In fact it looks better than all my attempts at konadding, I kinda suck at it.
ReplyDelete@Steph xox: Thanks! I was pretty pleased with myself :D

@Alex: Freehanding is ok but I'm a bit cack-handed with my left hand. Worth a try though :)
